Measuring Radioactivity after a fire

When a fire occurs or when disaster strikes the fire department has the task to measure for the presence and distribution of radioactive substances radioactivity or radiation. This task is described in the National Plan Nuclear disaster control (NPK) which is prepared by the Ministries of Housing and Internal Affairs. Within this NPK the Exploration and Warning Service (WVD) of the fire department and the task to carry out measurements is described. Our level 2 or 3 experts regularly organize training for the people who carry out these measurements. We will bring our own radioactive sources and supervise the training.
